...and where can I buy them?

These are used for clipping the water pipes to the heater matrix in a 09 plate Peugeot 308. One of the pipes came off the other morning, mid overtake of a HGV, in the pitch dark, filling the passenger compartment with steam and hot water!

Went to a French car dealership this morning and they said the clips come with the pipes and that'd be £120! :o Been round a few car parts shops this morning too and they weren't much use either.

Thanks,

how did the clip come off, undue pressurization ? did the pipe collar it was gripping on break ? was it correctly installed ?

bend it slightly ? or wrap a jubilee clip around it in the horizontal plane of picture

Have you got a photo of what it clips on to for context? I'd be looking at maybe a jubilee clip or something tbh.

The clip grips around two different diameter flanged pipes to form a union, one pipe is the hot water from the engine coolant, the other is the flow/water in to the heater matrix.

Not sure how it came off, I think the pressure as the clip was still in situ-ish, however I forget if it remained on the matrix or the pipe. Potentially not fitted correctly, been doing some work on the heating lately, however, now fitted correctly doesn't create a watertight seal/some play in the union.

I don't think so. The green in my second pic seems to be an insulation type foam used as a kind of PTFE tape to seal the input to the matrix.

Pop it back on the two pipes, the way it's meant to be, and then pop a jubilee clip over it to hold it in place.

That's not going to work, sadly.

Thanks anyway lads.
