What are you buying the other half for Christmas?

A frame, in it the name tag and first hat (smeared in whatever disgusting liquid was coming out my missus at the time!) worn by our daughter born 3 weeks ago, and the parking ticket form the hospital. Cost me all of 15 quid for the frame although hopefully will be priceless to her. Bit of a gamble as looking under the tree she’s got me loads of gifts although mostly boxers and socks I asked for and other odds and ends.

Did buy Nest heating for the house a few weeks ago so guess that’s something lol

So yesterday I wrapped everything which I'd bought over the course of November/December and it turns out I spent/bought more than I'd planned to or remembered buying!

Amazon Echo
Philips Sonicare Toothbrush
Super reflective jacket sports jacket
Fur bobbled cashmere hat
Bath bombs
Chanel Coco Mademoiselle perfume
Clarins skincare set (I don't know, recommended stuff!?)
Some gimmicky cat book
Lindt bear

We decided not to bother with presents as we generally buy the things we want ... throughout the year. ...

Exactly. We don't wait until Christmas (or birthdays) to buy/receive stuff. We usually just get what we want when we want it.

In the last six months...
- New clothes
- New shoes
- New kitchen appliances
- New kitchen knives
- Dental work (not fun but important)

These are the sort of things people receive at Christmas (except for the dental work). However, we received these things weeks / months ago.

Our son gets what he needs when he needs it too. He's too young to want anything (< 2 years old), except maybe a lifetime supply of fruit. He would eat fruit all-day every-day if he could. :D

So you're not getting your lad any Xmas presents? Harsh!

He has received (Christmas) gifts in the past few weeks already. We just don't exclusively wait until December 25 to open them these days. He's also received (Christmas) gifts from family members, which we'll open for him tomorrow. :)

Flower vase - with promise of flowers more often
Hot and cold Dyson purifier
Jo malone purfume
A hand fan from china (mate brought it back for me from recent visit)
Jelly bean machine.

In reality we purchase our own gifts, however over the past month she has purchased me a 2080ti / Valve Index and a full sim racing setup, i purchased her a Rolex, both very happy :)

Merry Christmas all!

We got a new car recently and had to spend more than we wanted in the past couple months so it's nothing here, neither of us feeling particularly Christmassy anyway.

Got one last week due to the £100 off offer, it makes such a difference without a power cord, it’s brilliant, I like hoovering now:D
Me too. Still a rip off, but yeah. House will be cleaner.

We are keeping the Dyson animal maintained for a deep vacuum once every month or so. As the v11 is powerful, boost is amazing, but not mains equiv.

The v11 really has some power and is so easy to just pick up and clean. As you say... Makes it fun almost.

Some new hubcaps for her car, I got her some lovely ones a couple of years ago and they've fallen off, I know it sounds cheap but the first set were baby moons and these ones are the proper branded ones so cost loads considering what they are.

Other than that a diary what she asked for and a new t-shirt that she forgot she mentioned which I hope she likes.

We're saving up to do loads of work to the house so the biggest gift is that her cousin who is also our building contractor came round Monday afternoon to work on a quote for us, fingers crossed he will start in the new year
