Ep2, Portal, or TF2? I'm going to have a blast with Portal - altho I love TF2, it prob won't change much between the beta and the release. Portal is something different to try out first.

you no they got rid of the black box for retail, did they completly get rid of it on steam too? - i dont really want to pay for hl2 again tbh.

For an idea of what Portal's going to be like, google Narbacular Drop, which is the game it's based on. No more than an hour or so of play, but it's still good.

Got Crysis beta and Quake wars arrives today. Think I can survive without this pack for a little while... though that portal does look cool. Must not spend more money... must not spend more money.... who am I kidding? First person writing about how much fun portal is and I will be on there and buying within moments. Maybe should just get it out the way sooner.

Black Box got cancelled, for both as far as I know.

You're not really paying for HL2 again to be honest, Orange Box cost me just £25 from Steam, which is what Ep2 would have cost on it's own or around that mark

. You can then give away the second HL2 + Ep1 you get, so it's not all doom and gloom.

Definitely Portal here. I don't really like Half Life 2 all that much, but the rest of Valve's games are top-notch.

I bought the orange box from Steam as I only had the HL2 package before that. With all the discounts it cost just over $50 so about £25 - £30, so for TF2, Portal, and Episode 1 & 2 I thought that was a very resonable price.
