What are your thoughts, around using adblockers?

I used to root each and every phone, and the primary need was the ability to use adaway, to block ads. Nowadays of course, I use adguard premium and it blocks all ads and I was lucky to buy a licence for under £25, lifetime licence for upto 9 devices.
Do you guys also somewhat religiously install adblockers on your phones or the ads on mobile phones don't bother you?.

Does Adguard block ads in Apps? I thought it only worked on a couple of browser.

It blocks everything, no ads whatsoever.

I use adguard DNS which is free

You're thinking of the content blocker which is for browsers (Samsung Internet, Yandex)

They have another app which is aimed at blocking ads on all apps on the phone (not available on the Play store, Google doesn't allow system wide adblockers), as well as their own DNS servers which filters out ad traffic.

I usually only use adblockers on browsers now, most of my used apps are either the premium version and/or have no ads at all. For YouTube, I use a modded version called YouTube Vanced which blocks out in-video ads.
