What aspects/areas do we beat/better the yanks?

I have noticed in the thread here how some are kinda patriotic and not liking america at all.

A friend of mine just came back from america and he's just been going on about how better the place is and how they do things better blah blah blah and now my ears hurt and i wanna get him back

As a result of above reasons, can we please list things that we do better than the americans (facts preffered thanks)

I think we are better at football and we make better cars than them...

That's interesting actually, could you expand on that?

I don't know I think a lot of the things they have cancel out what we have, and vice versa.

They are very customer service oriented, they also work damned hard (corporate areas not necessarily shop keepers etc..)
We have a fascinating and amazing history whereas they are a "young" nation.
They are a much bigger country so the social scales and aspects are far larger.
We are a smaller country yet we still have a large social scale and diversity. However their's is on a greater scale IMO.
We probably have more cultural diversity and range owing to being so close to europe and therefore less isolated too.

I could list dozens of things which balance everything out. I love America - I would never live there or want to live there, but I do like the people there. Then again I've generally met the educated Americans of which there are plenty, certainly more so in the costal areas with their eyes open rather than closed to the view on the outside world.

It's great to be patriotic, but it's also great to be able to accept the positive aspects of other nations too.

Football
Beer (but that's not saying much)
Armies (see: SAS (oh god I hope this sparks a big debate that Stiff Cookie settles))
Alcohol law

Stuff America does better:
Gun rights
Most of their political system and especially their judicial system
