As I'm starting to build up my camera collection I think it's about time I got a bag to keep it all in.

I've had a quick look around, but there's looooads to choose from so I don't even know where to start.

I'd prefer a shoulder style bag, and let's say a budget of around £50.

Needs to house the following:

Canon 450D + Battery Grip
18-55mm IS
50MM 1.8
Lens Pen
Remote

Space for a 200mm would be good, but I don't want anything massive.

So what should I be looking at? :)

Edit: Also needs to fit a 430EX II Flash.

Any of the smallish Lowepro bags should be fine, say a Mini Trekker, Slingshot or Fastpack, I think they range between £30 and £80 but they're very well made. I've always used Lowepro bag, the zips, materials and overall construction is great.

I have a similar kit and I have them all fitted into a Lowepro Fastpack 200 with upper room to spare to keep a Raynox 250 macro lens. Supposedly cost me 40quid after 10pounds cash back, not really noticed the tenner returned to my bank account...

Edit: I like the fastpack 200 more over the slingshot as it's an actually double strap pack and not a single strap.

I've also got a lowepro bag, very very high quality and loads of space, I can fit my slr, spare lens, charger / plug, card reader and loads of other random junk. Even have a pocket empty in the front of the bag.

Also I think this is one of the smaller of the range :)

Another Thumbs up from me for Lowepro! Got a Mini Trekker and it holds lots of stuff plus a tripod and has loads of little pockets for storing random bit's and pieces!

I too have a 450d, only one lens as of yet which is the kit. I plan to buy a Nifty Fifty soon though
I am sold on a Flipside 200, its for than enough for me, and can fit a Camera with lens attached plus 2 more in, which is plently. I am just trying to find it cheaper , got it for £39 so far but its red sadly, I am not paying £50

Have a look at the Lowepro Nova 160. I keep a 350D + 17-50mm, 430 flash + the usual bits and pieces in mine and there is still room for a couple of lens'.
You can't really go wrong with Lowepro.

I keep all my kit on a shelf, When I go out, I decide what to take (usually a body/lens and 1 extra lens) and stuff it in a rucksack. I don't like to advertise the fact I'm carrying expensive kit around.

If i'm transporting kit (ie I want to take most of it, but will leave a lot of it somewhere secure) I have a lockable aluminum flight case that I've had for years. I don't carry it out and about though.

My crumpler is the Pretty Boy XL (its still pretty small despite the XL) i can hold a DSLR with lens attached 2 extra lenses and had a reasonable front pocket. Is waterproof too and cost £39.99. Tis a sexcellent bag.

What camera bags have you got?

I've got a Pretty Boy XL (kinda like the Muffin Top backpack), a Stunner (like a Muffin Top Maxi) and a Long Schlong (like a Muffin Top Maxi, but deeper). I've also got a McBain's Love Child which is the laptop bag.

Crumple change their line-up pretty frequently so I've no idea precisely what the current bags are like, but I can't fault mine.

In the Stunner I carry:

350D with grip, 430EX, filters, cards, 17-85mm and either a 70-300 or a 50.

In the Long Schlong I carry the same as above, but with all three lenses plus the battery charger.

In the back pack I carry two bodies, four lenses and everything else, plus whatevery else I would need for a day out walking or such like. This is also the bag I use as hand luggage when fluing with my gear.
