Called up to get my nut allergy results from a blood test.

the nurse wouldn't give me the details as the doctor wants to speak to me. however, the results came back a week ago, they were waiting for me to phone, so i'm guessing it cannot be too serious.

And they were looking for nut allergies not anything else.

dammit wish he'd phone me now and put me out of my damn misery!

after morning surgery he'll phone - so probably around lunchtime.

argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't think they even looked for anything but the specific thing you had the blood test for?

that's what i thought/am hoping.

could just be "nothing came up, but just becareful with nuts anyways as you've had an allergic reaction" or "quit your job, you've ten days left on earth"

I think they would only test for the things related to the allergy. Its not like you're giving blood, where they would have to test for diseases/ AIDS to prevent it from being transmitted to others.

Virtually all my family has got a nut allergy apart from me and I get through quite a few salted nuts.
Before my nephew comes they have to phone ahead to make sure I've got no salted nuts about and I brush my teeth.

results are in - he just wanted to clarify PHEW!!! (no bad aids)

I am 100% allergic to hazelnuts - no mor Fruit and Nut bars for me :(

I took an allergic reaction to nuts one time but havent been to the doctor, I probably should. What do they do, just take some blood?
