What cars do your parents have?

Mum: Smart
Step dad: Jeep Grand Cherokee

Used to have a few old Lotuses, a few motorbikes, jags, a Jensen Interceptor, lots of things in his youth!

*Puts 2 and 2 together*

.....ahhh I never knew.

Snap.

Dad: 05 Jag S-type 3.0
Mum: 05 Honda Jazz

Before a recent visit home, I'd been trying to push my dad to change his car, but after doing over 2k in the Jag, I'm pretty impressed. No rattles or squeaks, decent power and it isn't really worth anything anymore, so cost to change would be huge.

My mum has a W plate Vauxhall Astra automatic that I bought for her many years ago from a dodgy backstreet car dealer in Chesham for £1800. It gets serviced every couple of years if it's lucky and it's not missed a beat. It's such a heroic car.

She keeps threatening to buy a brand new car on finance.

My late father (a taxi driver) had a succession of **** cars. 2x Austin Montegos, 2x Nissan Bluebirds, a Vauxhall Carlton and finally a Vauxhall Omega, white, ex-police which had serious engine trouble from the outset.

No Porsches in my family :D.

Dad: 2007 Renault Laguna 2.0
Mum: Bus

My dad wouldn't let me drive his car EVER as it was too powerful/fast for me apparently. So I bought an older, less safe but faster car....

Dad - Saab 9-5 2.0t

He's had this a while. Think it was all Saabs before this.

Mum - Audi A3 2.0 Quattro S-Line

She bought this recently. Prior to this she had a 2.0 Golf Mk4 I now have.

I sent her the wiki article on VWs shared platforms because prior to that she was going to get another Golf GTI or nothing.

I got my car thing from my Dad, he had me fetching spanners under the car when I could crawl, according to my mother!

In no specific order;

Range Rover Classic Softdash Classic 460i
Daimler Dart
Daimler V8 250 - just finished being restored.
Daimler DB18 Charlesworth drophead coupe 1949 (one of 3 left)
Land Rover Discovery TD5
Jensen Interceptor MkIII - currently being restored, needs a respray and a new engine. It came with all the parts to build a rather tasty engine so should be fun when complete!
