What compact digital camera?

Hi,

My brother has told me to find him a deacent compact digital camera. He knows absolutely nothing about cameras and has decided he likes the Olympus MJU 700 and Samsung NV3 because of their looks and nothing else! I've looked at some reviews and i'm not terribly impressed with either of these cameras and so would like to get some advice from you guys. The only makes i'm really familiar with are Canon and Fuji and i'm thinking something like the Ixus 70/75 would be good for him.

So what's the best camera out there for around £150? It must be small and lightweight and 'stylish' :cool:

Depends on use:
Mostly indoors . . . . Fuji, F31fd
Mostly outdoors . . . . Canon, A560 perhaps.

the f31 is better than the f30 outdoors and any highlight clipping can be solved by dialing in -1/3 to -2/3 exp compensation.

Dont get the Samsung, (see my recent posts) im on the look out for another camera now due to being masively dissapointed with the samsung.
