Hi, well in september 06 my first set of Z5500's (Around 4 months old at the time) died on me, they were working ok, then I needed to turn it all off to tidy the wires behind it, anyway it disconnected it all, then moved the sub out of the way, and pulled the carpet up ti put the wires under, anyway once all that was done it was all connected back properly, I turned it on, everything seemed normal, I put some music on then I was like, hmmm why is it so quiet and sounds missing? So I did the speakers test and found that the front left/right were not working, anyway, after that I made sure it was all connected properly again, but then I heard this weird humming that was getting loud coming from the sub, it got louder, then I just heard a POP, and the bars on the LCD in the Control Pod were all highlighted (All 40 of them), so I had to turn the system off form the back, anyway, I turned it back on, I actually did not bother to turn the actual unit on form standby, and then even in standby after about 2 mins, all 40bars on the LCD were highlighted :s, I couldent even turn the thing on, anyway, eventually the fuse blown, I changed it, got it up and running again, started playing some music even though front left/right channels were still dead, after 3 mins of music I heard a pop and sound went off, control panel was still on, but all 40 bars highlighted, anyway sometimes it all turned off. The set that failed was one of those that had the popping problem, so I am wondering weather it was connected to that and something in the amp actually blown and if this will eventually happen to my newer set, I know it was not the control pod as it worked fine on my new set apart form no sound which seems to be common when trying older Control Pod's on newer sets.
I am curious as to what may of caused this problem and if anyone has any idea?
Thanks
Will
