In the year 1999 for me, got given a ticket to see Chemical Brothers, a point-and-shoot 35mm camera, some booze and precisely £181 (£100+£50+£10+£21... the latter being £1 for each year). Oh, and also got given a wireless mouse which was unusual for 1999 and it lasted 4 years before I had to replace it.

Car probably, I have a friend who got a new KA for her 18th birthday. (she got a boob job as her graduation present)

House...unless it was in trust and part of the inheritance...unlikely although possible.

I was kind of trolling a bit lol. When I hit 21 I received my inheritance from all my grandparents as they passed when I was fairly young. Decided to use it for a deposit on a flat and rent the other room out to help cover the mortgage. Would definitely have just spunked it everywhere if I hadn't.
