I have ordered something online, just checked the tracking thing, the parcel went out this morning but has been returned to the depot due to adverse weather conditions

will they now send it back to the sender or try deliver again tommorow

it was a next day delivery service

It will be attempted tomorrow, along with the fresh deliveries.

They wont send stuff back unless they fail to get a response to a card that has been left, or failed to receive the correct contact details on a bad address.

I've no idea what the heck's going on with mine.

I haven't had a card through the door, someone's been in all day and at past 7PM I've had no attempt at delivery, and the DPD website still tells me it's out on the van for delivery?

Its a few days before Christmas, all the couriers will be struggling at this time. We had a delivery just after 6pm today.

Exactly this. Bear with them, it's bad times weather-wise out there and a lot of people forget that just because the road outside their house is clear, that doesn't mean all the other roads on the route are!

I know it's probably not their fault, it's just annoying to see like 10 DPD vans drive past my house and none of them deliver the item in question. :(

It's worse because I arranged someone to stay in for today, so I'm not sure if they'll be able to do the same for me tomorrow :/

Well I did 12 hours today delivering in the higher outskirts of sheffield in shocking conditions. Somehow out of 90 deliveries only 4 I scanned as adverse weather conditions and these were farms miles off the beaten track.

Is the courier parcelforce? (just guessing from adverse weather conditions) if it is ring up your local depo at 7am and ask them to ask the driver to drop the parcel at your local post office instead and then collect it if you can.

i'm actually a bit ****ed as I know the road from their depot to my house has been more than passable all day, but I also drive for a living and know how these things work so just concerned that it wont be here for xmas now!

can't collect i'm afraid, i will be driving to aberdeen in ****ty conditions

Wow. I'm actually really annoyed.

On DPD's website it tells me that they tried to deliver and placed a card through my door. No, they didn't.

I would have prefered if they had at *LEAST* told the honest truth with "bad weather" but to say they left a card when they didn't kinda bugs me.

Some online tracking solutions aren't intelligent enough to know if the driver has *actually* carded a delivery unfortunately. Annoying for the customer I know.

Oh okay then, fair enough I didn't know. :)

I'm really wanting this delivery because its a new TV. I'm having some friends over for movies over xmas and would kind of suck to... not actually be able to see them. :p

Unable to deliver, calling card left - xxxxxxxxxxx (landmark = White Door)

Wait, does that mean the guy actually came to my house or am I reading it wrong?
