What do i need?

Could someone tell me what I need to connect an ethernet cable from a router to a pc please?

The ISP is cable and the Router is connected to the cable modem, the pc has nothing to connect any type of cables for internet access. There's plenty of PCI Slots available and usb ports but I would prefer to be using Wired not Wireless.

Are you sure there isn't an ethernet port? They've been pretty standard for years.

If not a PCI wired network card should only cost about £5.

As above, just get a PCI Network Card and plug in

What pc make is it, or if you built it yourself, what make of motherboard is it?

Ive no idea it's my parents PC, all's I know is it's not that good a PC, a Celeron and only 256mb ram and has nothing to connect a cable for the internet. I had a quick look inside a few days ago and saw about 5 pci slots so I assumed that it would need a pci card of some sort as the motherboard has no ethernet port.

Are you 100% certain there is no ethernet port? I cant remember the last time I came across one without one.

Anyway if there is no ethernet port then you will need a PCI one, then just hook that up to one of the ports on the back of the router.
