What do you do with your old pc/electronic components?

I perform a departing ceremony, which involves dancing around them and singing 8 bit songs. Usually after that, I bury them in the garden and commission a headstone.

I would only dispose of something if it had no use anymore and no value. For example a 20GB IDE hard drive.

That said, you should never 'bin' electronics due to the plastics and solders in them. Heck, the rate we are going scrappies will be paying you for unwanted motherboards soon due to the copper in them!

Keep the ones that may have use in the future. Otherwise WEEE.

Apart from the Zip100 parallel I have. Cannot bear to chuck it out. Complete with 7 100Mb discs! This was bought for my 486 with a 400mb hard drive.

Tends to be a "hand-me-down" process. When I buy anything new, my old equipment is powerful enough for a sibling or my girlfriend. :)
