What do you hope to achieve from your industrial placement year?

im going to be doing a placement year at uni, this is the main question that will be asked at all the interviews, apart from experience, skills, etc, what do you think the interviewer is looking for as a response,

yes i know the regular OcUK funny brigade will be making their jokes, ive heard them all, so could we try and keep this thread, on topic and nonsense free, so for once the thread can be constructive

You could say "I am looking to futher my own skills, by using my experience gained within university and applying it to a real world setting"

But honestly they want to hear about what you want to do, what you want to gain from this, possibly what you want to do in the future.

What's the placement in? Do you know what you'll be doin on a day to day basis? Maybe you can add that in somewhere.
