My faithful ten year old watch has finally given up the ghost, and as much as I was keen on it, it's not economical to get it repaired. I'm also getting married this August so cannot really justify the watch I really want long term, which is the Omega Seamaster GMT (the chronograph was just that bit too big!).

I need an everday watch that will still look ok at dinners and at my wedding etc. Anyway here it is, ~£130...

Stainless steel bracelet, automatic movement.

What do you all honestly reckon? Everyone who looks and thinks "gross", please post aswell as you won't hurt my feelings :raz:.

I really like the watches design as in the faceplate, but not so much the strap, looks a bit tacky for that price.

I have a simpler model of the PR50, with a regular quartz movement and a blue face, otherwise much the same. It looks pretty nice in the flesh, as it were, and it's nice and thin (though that may vary a bit with an automatic movement). It's served me well in the past year.

it looks okay and, presumeably, it tells the time.

i'm sure you could find something that looks equally nice and tells the same time, for less money though.

My PR50s doing fine. A different PR50 though. A friend has that watch and it looks fine in the flesh. I'd agree, it's nothing overly special but it looks quite nice. Definitely good enough until we find ourselves swamped with money.

I have the pr50 but with a leather strap and I think for a student it looks pretty decent, understated but still quite classy...well for one hundred odd quid.

I've got the Tissot PR50 titanium. Simple design, and incredibly light - can't tell I'm wearing it most of the time which is great. Seems to keep perfect time too. No visible marks on mine after about a year of daily wear.

I'm happy.

Basic, simple design. Easy to read, automatic movement and a date window.

Timeless design, I like it a lot. And it's a decent price, you can't go wrong.

looks pretty bland to me, but its inoffensive

I'd agree, you could spend less and get something else equally inoffensive and bland. I'm not saying it's horrible (though it looks a little shiny and, well, bling for my tastes) but I think you'd get the same look for less.

It's really not very bling in reality. The middle strip of the band is polished, and the ring around the face, but it's not nearly as bold as the picture suggests.
