What do you think of the new IMDB?

Not a fan of it. Have to scroll towards the bottom just to get to the FAQ's bit for any given movie, when previously it would be on a link on the left sidebar.

I think it's dreadful, really. The old style was decently laid out and efficient. This is just a mess...

I like it. I like the way it list's the biggest actors of each film and a photo link to their own IMDB page. On the flipside I like the way you can go onto an actors page and it lists the films they are most known for by the movie poster.

The only thing I'm not so keen on is that it seems to list less people in the cast list unless you click on the 'full cast and crew' link.

I just don't get these website redesigns. Same with Youtube, Ebay etc, they all worked perfectly fine until they went and knackered them. Slightly more visually pleasing but 10x harder to use.

If you can't read and like lots of pictures then I could understand preference of the new design, however, normal people visit IMDB for the written information.

Its worse, some sites need to keep it simple when it comes to raw information like wikipedia does and imdb did before the update, the design is poor because its different and i can't see the information all in one place as quickly!

If you have an account you set the forum to act like a normal forum which shows all the posts at once lol. Just like you can switch the new design back to the old one if you have an account.

I'm glad they have an option for the old design. That should hopefully calm the moaners a bit, whilst the rest of the world, who aren't particularly troubled by a few extra pictures on a website, carry on with our lives.
