What do you use on your hair?

Girlie thread I know but...

I am staggered by the sheer volume of hair styling products for men now. Gel, wax, gum, clay, paste, fibre and more.

What the hell is the difference in all these and which one do you use and why?

Shampoo.
Conditioner.
American Crew Fibre.

ACF is definitely the best one I've tried for styling (and I've tried probably more than 20 over the years). Keeps my hair where I want it and it isn't sticky.

Clay is good for hair up to medium long lengths, it's drier and won't make your hair greasy.

Fibre is a lot more greasier so tends to be used on short to short-medium hair. Gives a nice beach messed up effect. Paste is similar to this, probably gives more hold.

Gel and wax aren't really used that much unless you're from the 90s or want a 20's look.

They all add texture, hold, volume etc. can be matte/shiny
