And you can guarantee that laws based on our current understanding will alway match our future understanding ? We once taught our children all sorts of crap , that doesn't mean anything.

I'll tell you the same thing I tell religious nutjobs: Just because we don't know everything, doesn't mean you can just fill in the gaps with nonsense.

Besides, the laws of thermodynamics are pretty much beyond question at this point. Every test ever conducted under reasonable experimental conditions has resulted in useful net output always being less than net input, and we have valid scientific models to explain this behavior.

Free as in taking it from the electrons that surround us.

Patently nonsense. Electrons are very quick at settling into the lowest available energy state; you can't make them go lower and somehow extract energy that way. Also, "surround us"? Dude, we're made of the damn things.
