What does it take to do Dakar and back?

So if you were going to travel to Dakar what vehicle would you take? A bespoke 6x6 truck? Bowler Wildcat perhaps? How about an 899cc fiat cinquecento

Every year some several hundred people race between Spain and Dakar

A crew took a modified Humvee this year!
