what driver do i need (NF7-S)

Hi

Just popped my nf7-s in after my asus a7n8xe deluxe died. However i did not reinstall windows and now it wants a driver. I did not get a disk with the motherboard as i bougt from the mm. Can anyone link me to the driver that i need ?

Its a universal serial bus controller.

Tried that but it didnt work. It still asks for the driver for nvidia usb 2.0 enhance host controller.

Wish i got a disk with the board

For USB2 drivers I think you need to install SP1/2

Im nearly sure i have a service pack installed but can anyone tell me how to find out what version ?

Check in My Computer Properties, it should say something like

Microsoft Windows XP
Professional/Home
Version ****
Service Pack *

in the General tab.

I dug out my old NF7-S v1 disk and there is a set of Windows 2K/XP drivers on it, which i can zip up (220kb-ish) and mail to you if you want, though the V-2.0 drivers on the Abit site may be a better bet. The Nvidia Nforce 2 collected driver pack on their site doesn't seem to include a USB driver.

dont think i ever used the driver disk on my board. just install the latest NForce platform drivers from Nvidia

What Baddass has just said, plus service pack 2. The usb2 drivers only come with sp2, the ABIT usb2 drivers i think were meant for win98 and winMe.
