Watched The Host, friends choice for pizza film night http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0468492/

Absolutely awful, 2/10, how it's got a 7/10 on imdb I have no idea.

And last night he admitted he has never seen Princess Bride, so that's my choice for next week!!

Mama - 5/10

Watched it twice, first with friends and secondly with the ex.

It has insidious syndrome - Get's stupid in the last half an hour of the film.

The Dark Knight Rises - first time watch for me. I thought it did a fine job of finishing off the trilogy. Having watched the other two in the last few weeks I found it to be of the same high standard. Overall though I prefer The Dark Knight out of the three but this is still a very good film. 5/5

Nice tidy straight forward action movie. Don't need to engage your brain, some decent chases throughout, enjoyable.

Upside Down

Beautifully made, good visual, awesome idea but something lacking in the script. in Time with Justin Timberlake has a similar idea with 2 worlds (poor and rich) but executed that bit better.

Equilibrium. 5/10.

Found it intensely boring, and it completely destroyed it for me when Brian Connelly (?!?!?) popped up in it. Bizarre. The action was pretty lame.

Reservoir Dogs. 6/10.

I didn't see what all the fuss was about. The dialogue was pretty good I guess, but the story was a bit lacking to me. Steve Buscemi was great though.

Skyline - 4/10, that might be too generous actually.

Visually it was quite nice, the special effects/CGI seemed quite good but the storyline was flat as a pancake, the characters were unlikeable and it didn't really build up into anything.

Battlefield (4/10)

Didn't enjoy it. Thought it was the movie equivalent of the computer game Rage.

Eye candy, dreadful storyline. The effects weren't THAT brilliant either.
