What film did you watch last night?

Birdman - how this film gets such a high rating I have no idea. Interesting enough start, but it doesn't go anywhere and I'm sat thinking 'what the @#*% was that actually about' after enduring it all the way to the end.

Maybe I missed something, I dunno...? It gets 8.somethingorother on IMDB, to me it's a 5.0 and not a film I think anybody would watch twice.
 
Interstellar 10/10.

What a film!!! Wish I'd realised it was a 3 hour long film at 12:30am last night :p Still, worth every minute of my time. Wonderful work by Mr Hans Zimmer once again. He really is the god of the soundtrack world.

I'm with you on this, don't get what the fuss is about, some good editing is only thing positive i could say about it.

The other day I was watching some film or other with the Mrs and said to her "he looks like a young Michael Biehn" and she said yeah, and I was reminded of the line in High Fidelity about how what you like is more important than what you are like... Call me shallow, it's the ****** truth.
 
Ex Machina 7/10.

Some great twists making an intriguing story, if a little slow at times. An interesting film with really only 3-4 characters and the filmmakers did a great job in binding them all together. Oh and extra marks for robot muff!!

Lol, lol. Some minor entertaining moments but I give it lol out of 10. Glad The Neesons said there would be no Taken 4.
 
a few from the last week..

What we do in the shadows - 0/10 irritating 'humour', ! want that hour back lol.
The Babadook - 5/10 watchable but nothing special
Fury - 8/10 very enjoyable, though a bit OTT at the end
Gone girl 8.5/10 - really good, Ben Affleck was quite decent in it I thought.
Nightcrawlers 9/10 - creepy, unsettling and an amazing performance from Jake Gyllenhall.

Whiplash 9.5/10 - pure brilliance, it's 9.5 instead of 10/10 because if the editor paid as much attention to timing of the cuts and sync as the characters in the movie did to their performances, the experience would be that much better.
 
Ex Machina 8/10 for me. Wasn't entirely satisfied with the end but three leads were played so well, main guy was masterful/creepy.

With regard to the AI, oh I most defiantly would.
