What film did you watch last night?

Robocop. The new one. 6.5/10

I thought it was alright. Not as bad as I had heard. In fact, I quite enjoyed it.

Didn't think it was all that bad, it's just that I was forever comparing it to the original (which I think was absolutely awesome!!) so a little unfair.

If they'd have retooled it slightly and made it an original story I think it may have done better

Body of Lies - 2008 Leonardo Di Caprio, Russell Crowe and Mark Strong

Half decent movie, nothing really special in it but it's spies and terrorists, so was the usual. 6.5

All of you who have watched Lucy, did you manage to look past the biggest breaking point, actually MASSIVE, that humans use 10% of their brains and she uses 100% ? We ALL use 100% of our brains, that 10% is just old utter bull ****! Looks a good movie, and it's Scarlett Johansson, but come on, SUCH a flaw! Is it easy to ignore that?

Ex Machina. - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0470752/

I'm a huge fan of Garlands writing (Sunshine, The Beach, 28 Days Later, Dredd) and it's great to see him in the directors seat. He's a natural at this and the story is engaging from the moment it starts.

Some brave moments, didn't end up the way I expected and an impromptu dance scene that added to the overall movie and broke the tension up quite nicely.

I'd give it about 8.5/10.

We know that idea was thoroughly de-bunked years ago, after all it's a sci-fi film and needs a good deal of belief suspension to make it work, some of the things she can do because her brain is better are just ludicrous, but I can cope with that, it's no different than Harry Potter.

It just wasn't that well put together as a coherent story and you end up disliking the main character because of what she doesn't do (Bella and the vampire slaughter springs to mind).

Watched The Theory of Everything last night, great performance from Eddie Redmayne in what must have been a very difficult role. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he won the Oscar. I'll give the film overall a 7/10, was involving throughout but I would have found a focus on his work more interesting, obviously this is just personal preference and is not what the film was ever going to be about!

Watched X Men- Days of Future Past as the gf hadn't seen it.

Overall still an enjoyable watch but the more I watch it the more the little things bug me, would be nice for them to focus on some other characters more, so many good characters are nothing more than filler... Would be great to have someone other than Wolverine being the focus.

I know they were probably pushing it for time so needed to make changes but I read that Rogue was going to be featured a lot more...
and was going to be the one Trask wanted to use with the sentinels for their mimicking of abilities, I think that would have made a lot more sense that Mystique but I guess Jennifer Lawrence is hot property at the moment.

The Kingsman - The Secret Service - Absolutely fantastic so faithful to the comics and pays homage to 007 and spy genre. A good mix of wit, seriousness and comic book humour which surprising works well. It a tad cheesy but so was the original material. The Cast was exceptional particularly Colin Firth (for real for once) Samuel L Jackson, Mark Strong and newcomesr Taron Egarton & Sofia Boutella. Easily one of the best movies i watched in 2015 so far. Was a absolute blast.

9/10 - Simply Fantastic.

p.s - (My only small complaint is the UK 15 version has been cut down to suit the rating :(. Dont worry you not notice *trust me*

p.p.s - Gazelle (in this) makes Claw Hammer girl (raid 2) look like Mary Poppins :D

p.p.p.s - Here a taste of what to expect :D **Be aware This clip (not trailer) contains Spoilers!!!!**
