Seen it for the umpteenth time, but I find it hard to think of a better war flick. Still brilliant.

Fury - Pretty good though something was off with the costumes/setting but I can't put my finger on it, it felt more like it should be a Vietnam film than a WWII film for some reason. :confused:

Still enjoyed it enough though - 6.5/10

Saving Private Ryan is still the best (American) WWII film by far.

Wild Card.

Not bad at all. While I find most Jason Statham films aren't at the very top of my list, I can't say I've not enjoyed any of them either 6/10.

The Worlds End. (Simon Pegg, Nick Frost) 3/10

Very disappointed, nowhere near as clever or funny as Shaun of the Dead/Hot Fuzz.

Crazy, silly, if it had been a bit shorter I would have enjoyed it more.

Had to turn it off after twenty minutes, not for the film, I was intrigued at this point. It was badly dubbed. Very badly.

Ringu
I used to prefer this over the American ring. Now i'm not sure, it seemed very dated. Once I got lost in the film I was ok. The audio is creepier than the American one and the film has a better atmosphere. 8.5/10
I could have sworn the sadako scene was longer though.

The Grand Budapest Hotel. Really good. I love the colours and the photography. The cast is excellent. It's like a fairy tale. It's really stylised and over the top but it leans hard into it so it works.

John Wick. 6/10

Not sure if it's based on a comic book or not but it felt like it. Fairly thin plot buoyed by some Tarantino-esque violence. Worth a watch.

A worthy watch, a solid 7/10 from me. Watched Drive the other night too, so much Ryan Gosling. Now tempted to watch the notebook!

Watched two films tonight: Cherry - pretty random, crappy, 4/10

Lone Survivor - excellent, thoroughly enjoyed it, 8/10.
