What film did you watch last night?

Trainspotting - How on earth did i miss this film, was on last night, very good film. Glad i never got into heroin...haha 9/10

Went to watch Deadpool and have to agree with most of the comments here, it is very enjoyable, much more like a comic super hero movie should be : violent, gory, punchy but also humorous. I'm glad it wasn't a flop and didn't turn out utterly cheesy and annoying. Batman vs superman will be quite the contrast, being so serious :D

8/10

If you like the film, both the books are worth a read. Though I lent a scouse mate one of them and he gave it back to me within the hour. A few more years living in Scotland he finally managed it :D

It's going to be a huge cringefest imo.

I just watched this. Really good. It's amazing that someone so mixed up with crime is so highly intelligent and articulate. Fantastic narration and remembering of so much detail, you almost think it's his fictional mind making it up based upon the thousands of books he's read.

Why would it be incredible that an intelligent person would be a criminal? That's a bit of a dangerous line of thinking.

True, some of the biggest criminals have been great masterminds. Plus intelligence doesn't necessarily deter criminality. Psychology is far more complex.

Django Unchained. 9/10. Thought it was brilliant. As usual with Tarantino you couldn't mistake it for anyone else's film. I think if you like Tarantino you would like pretty much anything he could do tbh.

Christoph Waltz was brilliant in it.

I would have said 10/10, but honestly I think it could have lost half an hour or so.

Oh and WOW, that soundtrack!

Yeah I think tarantino certainly spices up the movie industry. Without him, or after he gives it all up, will be a sad time for film.

saw this was just added to Netflix recently. Will have to re-watch! Thanks for the reminder

Strange coincidence, rewatched Django last week. Some of his strongest work however the last 30 mins feels needlessly tacked on.

Also rewatched Inglorious B'sterds a few weeks back, that's coming out as my favorite Tarantino movie on repeated viewings, slightly behind Pulp Fiction of course.

Hot Fuzz. I didn't used to be a fan of this, but I've come round to it. As s parody/homage it's great. The cast is amazing as well, so many familiar faces! I spotted Cate Blanchett in her cameo role which I'd missed before.

Guilty pleasure: Olivia Colman talking dirty. Hnnnggggghh.
