What film did you watch last night?

Grimsby - 8/10, so much funnier than I thought it could be from the trailers. They've definitely kept the funniest scenes under wraps. Love the pokes at Liam Gallagher too.

The elephant scene had me crying with laughter, actual tears in my eyes

The Witch - just awful - one person walked out and another slightly mental woman was shouting 'rubbish' on the way out. No plot, no tension, annoying accents and no ending.

5/10

The Martian - 6.5/10

S'alright I suppose, but the first third of the film of the film is easily the best part of it and Matt Damon's presence steadily becomes more tiresome as the film progresses. I just felt the film lost its focus as it trudged towards its conclusion.

Also, the blatant pandering to the Chinese audience and/or investors is so naff.

You mean the one bit that is reasonably accurately lifted from the book? Yeah, dead naff.

Quick question, are the Chucky films worth watching?

Not really - he's an iconic 80's early 90's villain but the films aren't great. It's a bit like the Friday the Thirteenth films. Passable unless you're into the genre and even then - meh.

I would say 'Bride of Chucky' is the best because that has far more emphasis on humour.

Ok, thanks. I might take a look, if not, I'll search for something else. :)

The Salvation - 7/10

Decent movie starring Mads Mikkelsen in 1870s America, a peaceful American settler kills his family's murderer which unleashes the fury of a notorious gang leader. His cowardly fellow townspeople then betray him, forcing him to hunt down the outlaws alone.

Eric Cantona is it in as well lol, didn't know he was an actor.

I also watched this and enjoyed it a bit more than you and Vonhelmet. Having not read the book and liking MAAATT Damon more than most (it would seem) I was happy enough with it. 4/5

I think we're at the point with Hollywood where we just have to be happy they didn't screw up the source material too much with the movie adaptation.

Spectre 8/10 - Relatively formulaic bond, but I thought it was every bit as good as skyfall. Decent enough villain, and thought the plot tied things together nicely. Be a shame if Craig doesn't do any more films, as by far my favourite bond.
