What film did you watch last night?

My Cousin Rachel (2017) - 8/10

A good adaptation of a classic tale of infatuation, obsession and dark romance.

Great scenery and strong performances from the cast, but the plot’s pacing drops off towards the end, and the ending is very abrupt.

Yeah, I felt Galaxy 1 was an awesome, unexpected fun film of excitement and action (which is a surprise with the first installment of comic book films), the 2nd one was much more like the 'origins' story you expect from the first film - delving more into the characters and building them up. I thought it worked really well - the interaction between the chars in the first one had you interested in them without bogging you down into a slow build up, and the 2nd one fleshed them out and as you were already invested in them because of the first film it worked.

I remember thinking similar during the first one, and is probably why I found it so fresh at the time. Really glad the sequel was up to scratch. After watching a few films with dodgy pacing recently I was impressed with the way it transitioned from action scenes and slower lighthearted scenes.

Wonder Woman tonight and I have to say I wasn't disappointed. I thought it was AWESOME! By miles and miles the best DCCU movie since The Dark Knight. I honestly can't see any other DC movie topping this one at all. I wonder if they'll have the sense to go back through BvS and change the picture so it's got Chris Pine etc in it.

I did think Ewen Bremner's character was a bit pointless but I liked the Chief and the Persian guy.

One thing though,
her Sword was in BvS but destroyed in this. And she didn't have it back at the end of the film. Just an ever so slight continuity error!

I'm hoping they will fix that, I mean, it's like 100 years gap between it.

The Mummy 7/10
Was alright, better than some of the reviews for sure. Lacking in character development for sure, but nips on at a decent pace and Sofia Boutella.

I've not seen it yet so might be talking about the wrong thing but pretty sure Chris Pine is in the pic in BvS?!

The Recall - 4/10

Spotted this one on IMDB and it was getting GREAT reviews - sitting at 8/10 with critics giving it 10/10,9/10. WTF has IMDB turned into as this does not reflect the movie i watched.

Enjoyed the story, possibly set up for a sequel or TV spin off, but the acting, the effects, the dialogue - just no.

The Founder - 7/10

I found this to be a weird film to classify. On one hand I learned about the origins of McDonald's, whilst on the other hand I witnessed a scumbag, albeit a hardworking one, rip off two people who were honest and wanted to retain their integrity. Keaton was really good and it reminded me how much I enjoy his performances, but after finishing up there was none of the usual good feeling of watching an enjoyable film. On the other hand I'd still recommend it to anyone interested in...capitalism???

I usually find a small amount of votes on IMDb aren't to be trusted, usually cast and crew

Shame on you for thinking all those review we real tbh :p

Basically anyone claiming 10/10 with too much punctuation or usage of capslock is an obvious super-shill.

Me too.

Two from me:-

Octopussy - still slowly going through the Bonds, this one had more innuendo than normal but I liked the India setting and it moved along well. 3/5

Easy A - picked this after a recommendation on the comedy film thread a while back. Loved it, fine performance from Emma Stone, really liked the 80's teen flick montage and references, her parents were good to and just a good laugh throughout . 4/5

I didn't watch this last night but it was the last recent film i have watched.

The passenger 4/5 enjoyable watching a single person who was awakened early being the only one awake then wakes another one up and then a member of the crew comes in and walla.

The colours or graphics of this film is good.

Here is the link about the film http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1355644/ .
