Das Parfüm – Die Geschichte eines Mörders. German Swiss film set in France with an English-speaking cast. Dustin Hoffman and Alan Rickman are both outstanding. Benedict Whishaw performs adequately in a minor supporting role, with a convincing CGI nose.

I really enjoyed Perfume despite it getting some bad reviews in some places. Would make a good blu-ray I think.

Definitely. I watched it in HD and it was absolutely glorious. The cinematography is outstanding! It's rare to see the human nose depicted so accurately and passionately on film. I really felt that the director understood noses from an intimate, personal perspective.

It's only the second time I've watched it. The cinematography and editing are brilliant - it's so aggressive and intense. It's a very harrowing film.

In other news, Jennifer Connelly is mad stacked, yo.

50 First Dates, good film albeit a bit daft in parts in a typical 'Sandler' fashion. + Drew Barrymore looks fit in it. IMHO Sean Astin steals the show.
