We having xmas on a budget this year and only practical gifts allowed. She really wants a quality high sided frying pan (that won't break the bank)

I'm lucky as she loves to cook, she has expressed she likes the Jamie Oliver range.

Any others that I'm not aware of (same quality and cheaper perhaps) or is his range very good? also which is good to get, aluminium, stainless steel or hard anodised?

btw I'm getting a new toothbrush

lol it's what we both want\need. I did say practical in the OP. Apologies if it's not 'flash' enough
It's fair enough, I was considering similar feel I'd be a bit disappointed come xmas day though, we'll see how £ pans out.

regarding the OP, I think he's usually done a pretty good job of only putting his name to decent products, but I think you're still going to be paying for the name a bit, there will be equivalent quality products for a lower price. Can't recommend any specifics but it's usually worth having a look in TkMaxx or Homesense for cooking goods, there's often some really good deals

Thanks, I'm now looking at Woll and Le Creuset ranges :)

I did not expect this to be a minefield of options, which metal and coating it has, how thick the base

Just make sure it’s one of those lightweight ones, youi don’t want her to do you any damage do you. :D
