Basically, I haven't turned my Xbox on since I finished RDR a month ago; and I want some new games. I prefer singleplayer to multiplayer but if the multiplayer is awesome I'll give it a shot.

So what games would you recommend?

My short catalogue of games consist of GTA:IV, Forza 3, MW2, Red Dead Redemption, Assassins Creed 2, Mass Effect 2 and Fallout 3 to give you an idea of the games I play.

Cheers :)

While I will be the first to admit they're not for everyone, but I would maybe try giving the Halo universe a shot. If you don't want to go back as far as 1 and 2, you can start with 3, and ODST is pretty much standalone anyway, then if you enjoy them Reach is out in 2 weeks :).

If you missed the first Mass Effect but enjoyed 2, I would go back and play that too.

Mirrors Edge is also worth a punt if you fancy something a little different.

Oh and the Gears of War games too :D.

I've got a feeling this is going to turn out quite expensive for me :o

I've been meaning to get Arkham Asylum and Gears of War for a while now, so I'll be looking into them.

What is Mass Effect 1 like compared to 2? I absolutely loved 2 and could hardly put it down :)

Cheers for the replies guys

GTA IV its a must :D

Edit: opps i didn't read your OP properly sorry :( I'd say Mafia 2 tho from what i played of the demo i liked it so the full game should be great fun :)

To name a few must plays that are getting on a bit but are still worth playing (and can be picked up pretty cheap now ;) )

Batman: AA, Left 4 Dead 2, Gears of War 2, Fable 2, Biosock 1 + 2, Dead Space, Dead Rising.

I reckon Arkham Asylum, Gears of War 2 and possibly Final Fantasy (I'm a FF virgin ;)) should tide me over for a while, or atleast till my next pay :D

I'd say Mafia 2 tho from what i played of the demo i liked it so the full game should be great fun :)
Awesome, I'm downloading the demo now. I enjoyed the original so this better be good :)

Cheers

Check THIS LIST to get a good idea.

I would definitely recommend
Dead Rising,
Alan Wake,
Gears of war 2,
Assassin's creed 1 & 2,
Just cause 2 & Red faction Guerilla are great open world sandbox games (imo)
Dead Space
Fable 2
Batman: aa is a must have for any system

Gah the list goes on and on, there are some awesome games in the 360 back catalogue. Check out the metacritic by score link I gave.
