Hey trying to work out what games are worth getting. Not sure im really bothered with UT3 and this is what i got so far:

Company of Heroes (PC)
World In Conflict (pc)
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (pc)
Bioshock (pc)
Gears of war (pc)
Assassin's Creed (xbox 360)

I am getting crysis before christmas and dont want this thread to start into a crysis debate

Any other games which are good which ive missed? I know assasins creed looks a bit repetitive but i might as well get it anyway

Crysis is a bad bad product, can't even get it running on my pc. Tried 32bit.exe BSOD within 5 mins, 64bit Exe don't even work.

Call of duty 4 is a must have in my opinon wonderful game. Timeshift is also brilliant too.

To the poster above, it is obviously nothing to do with crysis but indeed your setup, have you got all drivers upto date? Try running everything at stock speeds too.

What about mass effect? Does it only come on xbox 360, think id replace assasins creed with mass effect as i think assasins creed could get repetitive.

What is timeshift like? Ive not heard much about it, think ill go find some reviews of it.

Also should i get CoH first and then get its expansion pack or is its expansion pack bringing a lot of good stuff?

Finaly is sumpreme comander that good? I thought it was ment to be a let down.

And i cant say the orange box looks really briliant, team fortress has 1 map per mode and i never found half life that briliant. Id rather get it just for portal lol.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

:EDIT:

Gues ill just get Company Of Heroes: Gold Edition which is the game and its expansion.

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars.

Ignore the bad comments around here, some people just aren’t willing to give it a chance as it is more complicated than your average FPS.

Either some people jsut can't read, or the OP was edited....

Anyway, to the OP, Timeshift, as mentioned, aint half bad. A little linear, but not bad.

I would read reviews on Assassins Creed from users, rather than review sites, cause some racon its rubbish

Was going to say just that. I have both and M.E. is made of win while I've only touched Ass Crap once.

I shall get mass effect then, it does look like a very nice game indeed. Do the decisions effect the gameplay a lot and can you do what you awnt so to speak?

Well iw ant to get mostly PC games so ive decided ill go for mass effect. As for time shift i think im getting bored of linear games or games which not such good multiplayer. Thing is cod 4 will no doubt be my main fps multiplayer game. World in coflict and coh will battle it out for my stratergy game. But neither of them are build a base so perhaps supreme comander could take that spot.

I knew crysis would come in but ive pritty much ignored anny posts because i dont want this thread turning into a crysis thread.

I like timeshift because its just great to pick up and play and addictive, also you can slow down, freeze and reverse time when fighting, so you can run into a room of 5-6 enemies, stop time, run around shoot em all in the head :D

Its just great fun!

Unfortunately I've not gotten to play it to death yet because I've had a busy couple of weeks, but from what I've played of far you do make some pretty important decisions and the overall gameplay is utterly brilliant.

You do have tons of freedom too, I mean you have your own intergalactic space ship and no boss! ;) :D

I got the orange box recently, the best by far is TF2 out of it. I thought Portal would be a little more fun, though I haven't finished it yet. That robotic womans voice can be hella annoying though. I kinda felt it should have some like action / techno music playing throughout aswell.

Gears of War is great fun single player. Multiplayer on PC needs some work it has an incredibly basic interface and barely anyone playing it because there are no dedicated servers for it. Great game but I completed it in 2 days.

ET:QW is a lot of fun, people don't like it much on OCUK so it seems - not sure what thats all about. A very good game in my opinion although it has sort of lost its shine for me because I've played it so much lol.

For Christmas I think i'm going to be looking to get COD4, maybe Crysis & UT3. Though what I'm really looking forward to is Assassin's Creed on PC which is out in about 3 months unfortunately. Need something fresh I think since there's been so many FPS's coming out recently. :p

Definitely going to get it then :) Can you take the ship to what ever planet you want and explore it? Is there like towns on the villages so your walking around it talking to people.

Yeah i was tempted with quake wars but i think i got enough on my list now really. Two games im definitly wanting is Cod 4 and World of wars. The others ill just buy my self after christmas if i dont get them.

As for gears of war ive got in on xbox, loved it but cant play online. I was going to buy it purely for online play but now you said that i gues i wont, thanks for that saved me a dissapointment.

Also i never knew assasins creed was so close to coming on pc, thats great news :) Hopefuly they will fix some issues and make it less repetitive.

Looks like the Witcher might be able to break me away from FPS's for a change. I was looking for games to get for Christmas on the internet and came across it. Ended up buying it and it should be coming sometime this week :D. It looks and sounds awesome from what I've seen and heard.
