Hey guys

Sorry for the n00b question.

I'm looking for the cheapest graphics card to play HD resolution videos.

Can anyone give any suggestions?

Thank you

Pretty much any cheap GPU will work fine with HD videos... tho if your using the CPU for decoding anything over 720p then you will need something fairly recent CPU wise.

an 8800GTS will do fine, although cheaper lower spec cards that are just recent to the market may contain , newer and as well improved features for HD playback. I would possibly look into cheaper low spec ATI 4XXX series cards, with possibly better features for a movie watching experience. Some also bilieve that better image quality is noticable in ATI cards.
