What happens after?

What happens after your contract finishes when you bought your phone from an online company like: mobiles.co.uk mobilephonesdirect.co.uk dialaphone.co.uk etc...

For example if a buy a contract on O2 from mobiles.co.uk, after it ends, who do I deal with? Do I get upgrade deals from O2 or do I have to find another contract?

Also, who do I get billed by? mobiles.co.uk or O2?

You will no doubt be billed the same from whomever you bought the phone/contract from in the first place...

Upgrades would be via the network provider i.e. o2

You can cancel your contract like normal once the contract finishes or you can just go to any retailer or direct to get your upgrade.

Not strictly true, mobiles.co.uk are part of the carphonewarehouse, and they have their own O2 billing structure, these customers cannot deal with 02 directly.
Check who your billing is with, if it says carphonewarehouse on it anywhere you can only deal with these for your upgrade, unless you write in for you PAC code and go elsewhere

You'll be billed by O2, and eligible to either go to any retailer for an upgrade, go directly to O2 or get a PAC and move elsewhere.

CPW haven't put O2 customers onto their own billing platform for a couple of years now.

Which funnily enough when my brother got his iphone 3GS...O2 were not interested..told him that he needed to speak to CPW as they handled his billing and not O2...his problem being that he couldnt use the 3G on the iphone...but he managed to find the settings for O2 3G and now all is good.

Your contract doesn't expire, it runs until you decide to cancel it, but there is a minimum term of 12, 18 or 24 months.

£50 usually, then in 3-4 weeks you get a bill for line rental. This is how it work direct from the providers, not sure if mobiles.co.uk work the same way
