What have you done to your car today?

Crappy HK amp blew again, I'm onto the third replacement now! Warranty covered it but bored with it now, stripping the car of all the useless MOST amplifier (shall leave it to refit if I flog it) and cabling and I've shelled out for the following:

Audison Prima Forza AP F8.9 bit Amplifier & DSP
Audison DRC MP remote control
Helix MOST Interface
4 x Focal ES 100 K Front Component Speakers
2 x Focal underseat midrange 8" woofers

shall update with the amount of blood and skin I lose during the setup, the manual for the DSP alone is infinitely more complicated than a CCIE exam :p

Topped up oil, coolant & screenwash.

Now to try to detail the interior its about 99% flawless but I am looking to get it closer to 100% (even though I know its soul destroying, costly & time consuming!) Have to get 4 small white stains out (no not what you think either! ;)) and a couple of vinyl plastic marks I think I can buff out. Tiny little oil stain on the interior roof from a careless main dealer mechanic looks like its not budging either so have to live with that or try to disguise a little.

Later this week I am looking to buff out a few (kids took snow from the bonnet! to build a snowman) clear cut scratches while it was frozen to the car marks :mad:

WOW... that to me looks an aboslutel nightmare, you're one brave soul!!!

Saab failed it's MOT on crusty rear arches. It is 17 years old after all.

More of a design flaw as where the sealant starts it is fine. If only they continued the seam all the way to the back.

At least I get to play about with my welder for a change.

And a quick and easy upgrade to auto lights:

All sensors already in place, just needed a "repair wire", new switch with the Auto setting, and 30 seconds worth of coding :)

Auto lights not standard on something built within the last decade, wow :D

It's actually 2009, so just over a decade! Saying that, even my other half's cheap & cheerful 2008 Fiesta has them, so meh...

What is baffling however is why isn't it standard considering the minimal changes required to add it? It already has the light & rain sensor for the auto wipers.

Literally took me £15 for the wire and switch, and 20 mins to run the wire through the dash, pop the switch in, and turn the option on with OBDeleven.

I guess it's so they can sell it as a £200 option :D

There's also no stereo control on the steering wheel, and I want a maxidot display, so those are the next projects! (Although the maxidot might have to be a dealer job since I don't have the equipment or skills to code it :()
