So annoying, every day this week I start the car up and drive off. By the time I’m on the main road the front windscreen has completely misted over, dangerously so. It then stays like that for a minute or so and then clears almost as quickly as it appears. A quirk of the AC unit guess? Absolutely no misting in there the rest of the time. I assume it’s while the AC unit gets going or some such?

Out with the old, in with the new. Traded in my trusty steed for a black beast.
2010 A6 2.0 TDI lasted us over 6 years with the only failure being a fuel rail pressure sensor years ago. Bought it on 65,000 miles, traded in on 146,000. Highly recommended :D

Just picked up a Q7 55 TFSI e. Absolute beast. Might have slightly overdone it :o

Drove into a curb at 15mph head on.
Bin lorry was reversing at me, clearly didn't see me. Massive bang, nice chunk missing from the alloy and a tyre that clearly shouldn't be able to hold air...

I got out to complain, and the guy refused to even open his window....

Drove on to work, luckily the tyre still has pressure. But will definitely need to get a new alloy.. or ignore it.

The little one decided to play with the sunroof whilst i was scraping the windows and as it was frozen solid made an awful machine gun noise as it attempted to open. This left it in a slightly ajar state and the manuals instructions on resetting it had zero impact as it refused to go its full movement. £60 lighter thanks to the local merc specialist its back in sync and working (i'd hate to think what a proper Merc garage would charge). Im sure a bit of googling would have provided a home fix but cant complain with the service, they fixed it at little notice/cost, no point risking it with the current climate. Kids!.....

Ha, thanks :)

The thing doesn't half shift. Went out on some roads I take the Caterham down and it's surprisingly responsive. The regenerative braking makes the experience rather unpleasant though as it messes around coasting, etc. even in dynamic mode. The dampers are impressive but this is no sports car :p
Once on the move it's deceptively quick. Even on quarter throttle it'll get to 100mph+ in no time at all. Mega.

It's the first car I've ever bought without driving one first (not even a Q7 with a different engine). Thankfully the internet is full of reviews and most of them seem to know what they're talking about..

I recently acquired a Mk7 Fiesta ST and decided to give it a damn good clean inside, apply some leather treatment to bring some life into the seats and then give the outside a nice wash.

Did the whole wash, clay bar, polish and wax.

Probably the first time I've got really up close to the paint work and what I thought was purchased was in excellent condition actually has some defects I've noticed for the first time.

Stone chips present but actually filled, so not too bothered about those (although might go back to it in the summer and try to do a better job). Did spot a double scratch low on the passenger door, which looks like it was poorly corrected and a rather larger chip/gash on the drivers side door that has been repaired/filled but again, badly.

Very annoying but maybe I should be a bit realistic when purchasing used car. End of the day, its coming up to five years old, done 30k miles and it is Ford paintwork and from my past experience of owning a Focus ST, its ridiculously thin.

Seats for my Evo 9GT have been re-skinned. Also had the interior pillars and roof lining covered in dark grey faux alcantara.

They feel very comfortable. I seem to struggle a bit with seats. I have DC5 (Or Recaro SR5s) seats in my Impreza and they get uncomfortable for me quite quickly.

I had to change the SR5s when I had them, anything longer than 30 minutes in the car and I couldn't deal with it. Replaced with a seat of Corbeau (GTS2 I want to say, can't remember exactly) which were far more comfortable but had shoddy build quality. Couldn't seem to win.

Interesting. They are OK in the ass but my right leg goes dead as they dig in to my thigh. When I picked up the Evo seats I left them with an old Recaro Pole Position I have. When it's ready to be collected I'll get a good 4/5 hour seat time to see if it's comfortable enough to put in the Impreza.

Assume you've got no dashcam footage?
