they also call at 3 am for some reason??? they keep sending letters saying bill overdue even though we left them last year...

yeah they did this with me granparents ....they all cancelled there direct debits so could go to virgin and bt the cheeky (stars) sent them a £100 cancellation charge baring in mind they were customers with them 10 years nearly 11 years

Do you recommend cisco modems? might want a range extender =)

This one is Linksys Cisco. Quite expensive but definitely miles better than the Superhub.

To put into perspective. I have 3 PCs. Gaming Rig/Media Server running torrents hooked up to Gigabit, a macbook pro streaming media from said PC and my own laptop also streaming media.

With superhub it was struggling to route the data. With the E4200 it performs perfectly. :)

I need an extender, cant even browse my laptop in the kitchen.
Is there a cheap one? maybe less than £50?

Probably best to ask in the networking section, but there are quite a few routers that can be used to bridge a connection.

Virgin Media, no complaints here. The service is so good that the TV/phone is on Sky and internet on Virgin Media, even at the extra cost.

Vivacity. They are a small Enatnet reseller. Been with them for 4 years now, had problem with pings once in this time and they sorted it out very fast for me.

BT unlimited broadband package at the mo, includes all phone calls etc. Good package.

Used most of them over the years, however maybe Virgin next, not used them yet..

As long as the speed is good and the costs are reasonable, I don’t really care who the provider is….:D

.

VM 30meg here but they're soon boosting us up to 60meg for free I believe.

It's reliable most of the time but the wireless on the hub you get is pretty ropey but thankfully I don't use that for gaming.

orange max good speeds unlimited dl, no problems (did have when we moved but sorted after 3 weeks and got 6mnth free as a sweetner)

My speedtest results.

Thats one of the highest tests ive seen, usually it's about 3mbps max dl.
