What internet do you use for gaming ?

TalkTalk (formaly Nildram).

I've seen a progression of it going down hill. Spiking pings, bandwidth at about 5pm is 100 kbs, not sure if its TalkTalk or that just every numpty in the village has now got broadband compared to 5 years ago, I reckon its probably the latter.

BT infinity is just a dream here :(

Anyone know of a good website where I can check what the maximum speeds are in my area? Just Googled it but it's come back with a site that's trying to sell me broadband.

TalkTalk. Can't complain really. About 14mpbs all the time and 1mpbs or so up and constant low pings. Used to get the occasional disconnect for a few minutes but that seems to have cleared up. I think we pay £26 a month for phone, and 80GB internet.

I'm with Zen on their Pro package, have been for the last 7 years. Not the cheapest, but the only (single) issue I've ever had was with the BT line and not Zen. Still waiting for something faster than the 8mb or so I receive here at home, but I get every ounce of what is available and gaming latency is always very very low.

Virgin Media, rock solid stable for as long as I remember.

Was on the phone earlier to Virgin about having my phone line taken off as i dont use it and instead the guy at their customer service dept urged me to keep it and they will also throw in a "superhub" and boost me from 20mb to 60mb and to top it off also reducing my bill by £18 a month

So i get the TV. Phone, and 60mb broadband for...(drum roll) £33 a month. wow.

now thats a deal no one can complain at. Gotta say i love Virgin media :D
