Hi i am looking for high end board i dont like msi so please dont include them,
i want to have at least 4 or more memory slots, to be future proof maximum pci express version 5 to be future proof and ultra stable...
i will play games and work on it...
i like asus, gigabyte,
as rock.
i am currently divided between x870e vs x670e? I dont see much difference between them i dont care much about rgb or wifi i am using lan cable... some people told me that 870e is faster in terms of cpu and memory compared to 670e?
my budget is limited to 500-600euro max. why i need to buy also cooler, gpu and much more things .... i already have memory which is 64gb corsair for intel, it was better deal but i plan to use it with the motherboard on amd expo somehow?

My understanding is there isn't much difference between x870e and x670e. The X870E chipset guarantees the presence of WIFI7 and USB4 ports. If you're shopping for a new premium motherboard, an X870E motherboard is a better pick on paper I think, though an x670e is probably going to be a better value for money choice. You may find this website a good read to help you decide: https://www.msi.com/blog/Comparing-...ing-the-best-value-motherboards-for-amd-ryzen

I am also trying to make up my mind on what motherboard to get, I am currently leaning towards getting a Asus ROG Strix X870E-E. This gives a good overview of that MB:

I think some of the other posters can give you better advise on this, but I hope that helps.

As already mentioned, the main difference is the required presence of USB4 and the addition of WIFI7, though USB4 also has downsides in regards to lane sharing.

What speed LAN do you want? 1Gb? 2.5Gb? 5Gb? 10Gb?

What speed is it? Does it use XMP? XMP is workable on AMD motherboards and if you purchased it awhile ago, it will not have EXPO profiles available anyway.

CPU: X870E will have support for 9000 series CPUs "out of the box". The X670E motherboards might need a BIOS update, but this can be done with USB flashback even if your CPU is not supported.

Memory: after awhile (since their release) AMD made an update for B650/X670/X670E motherboards that enabled higher memory speeds, but these speeds have a cost due to needing to change the memory divider from 1:1 when you're running above 6200/6400 (depends on the CPU and the motherboard). This does allow for the newer motherboards to state higher memory speeds in their specification, but it doesn't necessarily mean they are better.

Benchmarks have shown that you need very fast memory to meaningfully beat cheap(ish) 6000 / C30 memory (especially with X3D CPUs, which don't care about memory anyway), so personally I'm indifferent to what supported speeds they state on the motherboard box.

Do you mean 4 or more M.2 slots? There's no AM5 motherboard with more than 4 RAM slots.

how about biostar x870e they are cheap are they any good high end and better value and price? i dont like much as rock, price is good for asrock and msi but some issues...

Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5 64GB (2x32GB) 6400MHz xmp this is the memory i got.

i am using gigabit lan so i dont care much about speed on lan cable.
memory specs are above, i will use my memory with amd motherboard not sure if i can implement amd expo? memory is xmp only not sure if i can enable amd expo.my cpu is 9950x amd so i want the best for it in terms of speed ultra reliable mb... and also please advice on good cooler.

i mean at least 4 memory ram slots or more, and also several nvme slots pci express v5. so i want mb to be future proof as possible. i change my mb once per 10 years.

The Corsair memory is fine, but like I said, I doubt it has EXPO profile (these are on the memory, not the motherboard, but I'd need the model number to check), so you'll just have to use XMP.

It might not work at 6400, so in that case, I'd enable XMP and manually change the frequency to 6200 and if that doesn't work, try 6000 instead. The chances of 6400 working "out of the box" is maybe 50/50, but when set to 6000 is more like 95%.

If you only want 2-3 M.2 slots I'd look at B850 (if you do not want USB4) or X870 (if you do want USB4) instead of X870E. There's no need to pay 500-600 euro, from what you have said so far, a 200-300 euro board is likely to be fine for you.

how about biostar x870e
I don't know, they are not widely covered in reviews.

There's one for a Biostar board here:

thanks for the excel what is the most important specs to look into this chart?
in order to pick the right one?
There's really only 3 columns that matter universally: VRM phases/rating and the PCB layers, just because it has an impact on thermal performance, but AMD CPUs are very easy to run, so even that barely matters.

The rest is down to you.

Your starting point is bifurcation and what PCIE5 devices you will be using as to what lane sharing there is etc.

If you don't need WIFI7 or USB4 just get a good B650 as they are cheaper than X670 with not much practical difference, although it would be worthwhile looking for a board that supports ECLK overclocking if you like to tinker and want a bit of extra performance such as the Asrock B650E Taichi or Asus B650E-F

If you check all of them which ones are the winners 870e or 670e?

In the spreadsheet and based on what I've seen in reviews, probably the X870E Taichi or MSI's X870E Godlike, but the VRMs are massively overbuilt on these boards, so I'd strongly recommend you do not buy based on that alone.

The 9950X only uses around 200 watts at max load and has no need for them.

The two X670E boards I can see that are widely available at the X670E Tomahawk and X670E-F Strix and they're both fine, even overkill.

Yes currently 9950x may not need more, but in the near future i will probably upgrade, and thats when i will not need to buy 2nd motherboard...
this is where first choise player critical role.
Godlike have many issues according to customers and its also ultra expensive, Taichi price is ok. tomahawk and f strix i can afford as well. so these 3 are the only option? :)
also what cooler you can advice for 9950x ? and case?

Don't overspend on a motherboard. £200 will get everything you need

The Thermeltake evo 12 has good feedback.

ok, what case i should pick , good case?
high end?
i change my pc once per 10-20 years not every day exept cpu which i can change frequently ssd/nvme ram and gpu,.
motherboard i dont like to change.

I'm not sure you realise how overbuilt the AM5 boards are :o

They can run the current CPUs without barely breaking a sweat, even one of the cheapest X870 boards in HUB's X870 roundup (X870 Eagle, ~£220) only reached 76 degrees with a 9950X after 1 hour of Cinebench.

No, they're the only X670E boards I can see for sale.

I'd suggest air cooling: if you're mainly gaming, rarely at 100% load.

AIO: if you do a lot of CPU-intensive work.
