None of these programs will 'fix' your registry. They might remove a few obsolete entries but if it aint broken, why bother? You won't gain anything performance wise.
For general cleaning including temp files and registry, I use Tonyarts' Easy Cleaner + Ccleaner. When I worked on the service desk, I have always advised my customers to be wary of reg cleaners. Some are bogus, and for the ones that aren't bogus, you still need to know what you're doing.
Im very dubious of registry cleaners having encountered several problems with them in the past. I would use CCleaner these days for general maintenance but it's hard to beat a clean install as far as 'fixing' your registry is concerned
CCleaner to remove obsolete entries. Otherwise nothing. There is nothing that needs fixing in the Registry unless you have been runnnig some unsavoury software or tinkering. In which case you should backup the registry before installing/poking.
I'm with SiriusB on this - if your registry is so goosed you need to use an application to repair it then it's time to do a system restore or restore the registry from a backup you should have taken before mucking about.
