I used to take mine to school & use it diagonally across the main hall during dinner hour. We got moved indoors for Safety reasons & Banned from jumping actual humans.

My netbook + broadband dongle is probably my favourite current toy.
Well I really don't see how that counts as 'Lego' - you can only make one thing with it. Lego (like the superior Meccano) used to be about creating models from your own imagination.
Well forgive me if the models that the Lego designers came up with weren't good enough for you. I however was happy with them and that's what counts

Best 'toy' for me was K'nex (much better than Leg)
I made the house robots and contestants of Robot Wars from it and smashed them to pieces, would still to this day if I could find it. Back when I was doing this there were a few other boys in my estate who joined in so it was pretty awesome - they would build their own contestants and I'd sit in the corner with my rendition of Shunt and Dead Metal.
Best times.
If phones also count then I'll add my iPhone 3G. Totally changed what I thought of as a phone - it also marked my first part time job to pay the contract.
