¯\_(ツ)_/¯
As title really, I've got an old old machine, that has got a 450Mhz chip in right now... What's the fastest chip considering my motherboard will not go over 100MHz FSB. :)

Slotket (powerleap etc..) and 1.4Ghz 100FSB Celeron Tualatin tbh. Probably gettable for under 20 squids on Ebay etc.. The Tualatin celerys are basically the same as PIII 100fsb cpus, same L2 cache etc.. i think there might be minor differences in the cache latency or something but it should whip the 1GHz PIII in just about everything.

Isn't this a Socket 370 only CPU? I believe the OP's board is Slot 1 only.

Tualatins were fun indeed, had a 1.4 PIII (133FSB) Tualatin with 512k L2 cache running at 1.65Ghz on an old BX board, screamer for its day! :)
