What is this - Model car

Is the wing mirror to scale or was it that shockingly large on the real car?

Which do you really think?

Its mounted in the wrong place too, but then not worth starting to pick faults with the model!

Mk1, it may be one of the first with the 1.8 engine, the wing mirror should be in front of the quarter light. The alloys are non OEM

Right........the consensus is that its a Mk1 pimped up with a Mk2 grill and some dodgy alloys (or wheel trims even) by some richard-head after it had had a smack and he even put the door mirror back in the wrong place.

The OP can tell his Dad therefore that its classically authentic of the period .......

The grill just looks like a bulbous Kk1 affair because the whole model is pretty shoddy, hence the wheels/wing mirrors/windows all being a bit wrong.
