Having arrived today i replaced my 460GTX with a GTX570 classified.
installed and seated correctly.
PSU is 875W

No post. and fan on GPU spins once then nothing.

is this a dead card?

have tried calling ****** support but have been hanging for 1hr with suicide music.

have emailed and no response as of yet.

wtf is going on

any ideas?

thanks

Sounds like a dodgy Power supply to me, haven't heard of a proper power supply with the power of 875watts. You didn't buy it from the market for a tenner did you ? Although I may be mistaken.

Yes there is another but its really tight to get into as the way the machine is built the cables sit by it.

i do have the adapters yes.

Ok i got it working.

used the adapter - plugged in both 6 pins and used the 8 pin.

then used another spare 6 pin and its working.

thanks for everyones help.

curious as to why two 6 pins were not enough power?

damn, ok thanks for the help. in the manual it states that the 570 needs two 6 pins and thats what i went with.

not dealt with PCI 16X cards before.
lesson learned.

thanks

Ah. It might just be a generic manual then. My brother's EVGA 570 only needs two 6 pins, but the Classified is quite a beefy card, and needs the 8 + 6 according to the product page.

Best thing to do is just fill all of the power connectors on the card, regardless of what the manual says :p
