[QUOTE="paradigm, post:2004 Audi TT 3.2 V6 Roadster, paid £1500 in mid 2018. Probably couldn’t give it away :p[/QUOTE]

G'wan chuck us a tin of fuel and I'll take it off your hands :E

Corsa se 1.7 cdti 130ps.
Had it for a year. 30 quid tax, actually quite quick and heated seats and steeting wheel.

Looks a big bag of a$$ though and ecu is fooked though so goes into limp home mode as soon as I hit 2000rpm

Paid 3k last year

Cars that I currently own -

2003 Mondeo ST220 - £2000 (Bought just under 5 years ago, too old for daily use, a bit of a practical toy more than anything as it only gets used in the summer months & does about 1.5k miles a year)
201? Skoda Octavia 2.0 FSI on 96k miles - £Roughly 1k about 2 years ago, can't remember exactly. (It's somewhere between an 08 & a 12 plate but it's got a private reg so can't remember exactly off hand)
1983 Ford Capri 2.8i (With a 2.9 24V fitted) - £1400 (Had it just under 17 years, ran it for 5, been in the garage for 12 years, it's a project but I need to get motivated to finish it off.)

There are other cars floating about the household which we don't personally own, theres 2007 Ford Galaxy 2.0 TDCi on the drive, a 2005 Renault Modus 1.6 and a 2013 Mondeo 2.0TDCi out there too. Yes, it looks like a car park.

2016 Focus ST-3, bought in July for £14,800.

Currently offered a max of just over 15k from the usual suspects. Very similar ones are advertised for sale for up to about 19k which is bonkers.

Past 3 cars:

2008 GTI ED30 - Cost 8k, sold for £4k after 3 years (total cost 4k over 3 years or £111 per month)
2016 S5 - Cost 24k, sold for 22k after 1 year (total cost 2k over 1 year or £166 per month)
2014 BMW M4 - Cost 25k, currently worth around 28k~ after 6 months (current cost made 3k~ profit or gained £500~ per month)

*Costs exclude maintenaince obviously but so far the GTI was the worst with the S5 and M4 needing basically nothing (so far)

Recently sold my Jag XJ8. Paid just under 4K, sold for 11.5k

Currently have:
2014 Lincoln MKZ - paid just under 6k
1978 Ford F-150 - paid about 1.5k
2008 Dodge Caliber - paid just under 2k

I tend to buy cars more because they’re a good deal than because I want something in particular - every car I’ve ever had I’ve sold for the same / more than I paid. I’d love to go to the dealer and put a deposit on a brand new Range Rover, but it would be a struggle financially and I know I’d end up feeling gutted every time I looked at the resale value.

Golf GTI ED30 Paid £8000 in 2016, probably worth about the same still. Only driven 700 miles last year.
2008 Touran TDI DSG £3500 in 2020. Get used and abused, washed about once every 4 months

Saab 9-5 Aero. Cost me 2K in 2015.
Suzuki Ignis Sport. Cost me 2K in 2013.
Toyota Celica GT-Four. Cost me 3K in 2012. (Worth a lot more than that now)

Rubbish bangers but even those offer more and cost a third of the price total.

And it's you who can't fathom other people's car choices...
