What mid-range smart phone deal (Wildfire/X10 Mini Pro/lg optimus gt540)?

Wife has decided to opt for the X10 Mini Pro, can anyone beat the deal listed by ghost101 in post #12?

Also what are high street mobile shops like for matching online deals, anyone had any experience?

the legand is better than a wildfire, it has a better screen res...also the cpu is around 600mhz

I settle on a legand in the end its a lovely phone, and its a lot more responsive than a wildfire( I did find the wildfire slowed down a bit particaly when pictures was inovled) but its up to you OP both are good phones, problem is its pretty hard to get a legand, unless you get it from the net.

only place that does it is vodaphone for £20 per month 24months, I belive there is £100 on the phone as well.

I've had the Samsung Apollo i5801 for a couple of days where it's a good phone in my opinion. The screen is good enough for video and images where the touchscreen is responsive. It's nowhere near as good as the Desire I have thought. Phone itself is responsive in operation and has the features typical of an Android 2.1 phone. Market is available to download app, has Maps app and the phone has AGPS, mail can connect to a variety of protocols such as POP/IMAP/Exchange. I've got the phone to connect to works Exchange email and had no problems.

Cannot say much about the camera as I'm not a big camera user. It does not have a flash if that's important to you. Took a few pictures and they looked okay but not going to win any competition with them thought.

Does not look as though it has OTA updating so wonder if the phone is stuck on Android 2.1 or will be some form of software download from the Samsung website.

Overall, I'm not disappointed with the phone other than the price. £150 is too much for this phone where on reflection £100 to £120 would be more reasonable.

So not meeting any of the actual requirements then. :p

;)

I got mine for free, for £25 per month 24months contract

300 minutes 500 texts ( with unlmited uk bolt on) and 500mb internet

win :D

needless to say you could get a second hand legand and stick and pay and go sim in it... if you don't wanna contract

Well..... the misses has been given the contract and my old phone and i got the shiny new Galaxy S :D = win!!

The LG Optimus gt540 should be getting 2.1 next week. My mum just got one and it's pretty nice, but the resistive screen is annoying if you're used to a capacitive one. Have a go with one in the shops and see if you could live with it.

I'm now considering a HTC wildfire or LG GT540. Can get GT540 from CFW for £99 and a wildfire from vodafone for £140. The Wildfire has a better touchscreen and better camera. LG has a better res and worse camera but is getting or has android 2.1 now.

Really don't know which to get as both are in my price range.

I'd go for the orange san francisco if I were you.
