What mid-range smart phone deal (Wildfire/X10 Mini Pro/lg optimus gt540)?

But I'm on vodafone and don't like orange. The CPW phones tend to be unlocked so should hopefully be able to throw my sim in it.

Is the frisco much better and why? What res screen does it have?

BTW I'm going from a tocco lite so any of these is probably going to seem much better.

It can be unlocked for less than £5, screen is an amazing OLED 480x800 3.5" job

Actually looking into it it does seem to be a must buy. Is it really that cheap to get unlocked? Can you point me in the direction of where I'd get it done for that price?

It is that cheap plus people usually get the code almost instantly there is a link in the San Fran thread.

My mum has a GT540, it's nice and quick (same cpu as an iPhone 3gs iirc), and is stylish, but the resistive screen is a big downside if you've ever used a capacitive one.

Personally I'd pick up a second hand HTC Hero or Motorola Dext and put 2.1 on it.
