What new games can I look forwards to?

Ya Early 2013 :( Doesnt mean we cant look forward too it, quite excited to see what this 1999 mode is like

Don't wish to be a killjoy but it wouldn't surprise me if it is primarily a marketing ploy but the impact on the game is minimal, as anything major might make the game hard to balance. Many FPS-RPG hybrids often make grand promises during development about how open-ended they are, how many different playstyles you can use etc. Take the latest Deus Ex game for example, that got a lot of flak for the unavoidable boss fights that require some degree of combat skill / equipment even if you'd focussed on a different style of character.

As for myself, it is probably the first time I can think of where I'm not actually looking forward to any new games  (note that doesn't mean I'm not interested in the pipeline coming up... just that I'm not relying on it!)
I'm quite happy with what we have already on the market and the stuff I've traditionally anticipated are already out (Duke Nukem Forever, Deus Ex:HR, Diablo 3, ME3, Serious Sam 3, Crysis etc). For all the talk about PC gaming being dead from my perspective there are plenty of games already released to keep me going for a few years.

Pretty much this.

I have a massive backlog of everything. Games, TV series, etc.

Grab things when they're on offer, and you'll always have plenty to play/do, even when there's been nothing new out for some time.

As far as things I'm looking forward to, Planetside 2 should be fun, and I'm intrigued by Watch Dogs. Borderlands 2 is something I'll probably pick up for the co-op. Company of Heroes 2 is looking good, too.

Good question,

For MMO's its less an issue.. for once its a nice position of being spoil for choice, not in terms of the shere number of them, but the genres

Planetside 2 and Mechwarrior stand out as nice alternative "sci-fi" ones
You have the usual suspects i.e. GW2/MOP

I'm not big on SWTOR because of everything origin touches gradually turning into poo but it is beginning to feel like it may soon be another free-to-play game the way things are going (tons of micro-transactions mind, good old lucas arts want their pocket money)

For RTS it depends on your taste.. we know the CNC genre is kinda getting a reboot of sorts via Mythic under EA, theres some new starcraft2 stuff coming

FPS is pretty flat at the moment outside of BF3/MW3..obviously those have a flood of DLC stuff always on the go but I fancy a UT-feeling twitch fps personally, don't see much out there offering anything like it

CSGO is obviously floating around but its just too early to say where that will lead.. obviously it'll be initially popular just out of folks wanting to play a hack-free game for an hour before its flooded with them :D

I tend to be more excited about re-releases from gog than the new games, guess I'm just old ;p

For me:

Bioshock 3
Watch Dogs
Dishonoured
Crysis 3 - I never played Crysis 2 but I'm hoping the new cryengine will look amazing. They really need to improve gameplay as crysis was a let down for me. Way overhyped.

Ones I dream about:

Mass Effect 4
Half Life Episode 3
Half Life 3
STALKER 2

Those looking forward to CoD: BO2, do yourselves a favour and skip the wait by picking any CoD off your shelf from CoD: MW onwards - BO2 will be exactly the same.

Top on My List

GW2 - deffo

New Sim City - cant wait just hope its as good as the early vids suggest.

New COH - has so much to live up to

GtA 5 - will it be released as the pc killer which 4 was? i expect so
