What parts of your car need to warm up?

seats. they are so much more comfortable when warmed up

i do this by sitting in them and shivering

hmm no idea, I just potter about until the needle on my oil temp gauge reaches the first notch.

Makes a diffenence on mine whether the clutch is warm as well - it can be a bit jumpy when cold.

i think in this instance the rear screen might of cracked which then caused the driver to crash his mx5, rather than the crack being enough to write the car off.

One of the guys from MX5oc was on that show.

It was a good episode and has made me want to get a mx-5 1.6.

They are just the most impractical car so I would need something else aswell and at the moment cannot afford to have 2 cars.

I can name much more impractical cars, elise, vx220, atom, exige, mr-2.....

I accually think the MX5 is quite practical to be honest.

Suspension does indeed need to warm up if the dampers are oil filled.

Why is it second any particular reason, something to do with the linkage?

No idea, a lot of gearboxes that have to handle a lot of power* have the same trait though.

*I'm not claiming my 150bhp is 'a lot'.

Engine, Gearbox and weirdly Clutch :/

As I said to someone:

"It's hard in the morning"

But anyway, car's so much nicer all warmed up
