Hi guys, not browsed these forums for agesss!

Iv got an xda mini S which iv had for quite awhile now, served me well and I like it, but iv got a chance of selling it now. If i do i will need to replace it with something better!

I want something which is similar to the xda mini ie uses windows mobile, and same memory card since I have a 2gb card which I would like to keep. Maybe something better looking and smaller/slimmer? I never use the keypad on the mini so that doesnt need to be there. Something also with a better camera since this one is pretty poor. What do you recommend?

The one that I liked afew months ago was the O2 atom but that wasnt available in the UK back then, is it now available or is something better out? I am not upto date with fones at all, so any help is appreciated, thanks.

Not yet seen an Atom. O2 had it lined up for a release shortly i believe, though i think they may of retracted it. It looks quite powerful, certainly compared to the Mini S and a bit slimmer. Not made by HTC which may not be a good thing.

They have been on ebay for £450+- on import which is a bit steep.

This might be of some use >here<.

I'd stick with the Mini for the time being until something else comes out, or if you fancy going up to a "full size" PDA.

I think im correct in thinking the XDA atom = HTC Wizard (correct me if im wrong)

But if so there is a new version coming out in august called the HTC Hermes / TyTN. AKA Orange SPV M3100, T-Mobile MDA Vario II, XDA Trion (iirc, its coming out in germany but im not sure in this country). So keep your eyes pealed for that one. Its basically a 3G version of the wizard but with a faster CPU and a couple of extra soft keys.

The xda atom isnt made by htc its made by quanta.

The mini-s is sometimes called wizard though its correct name is prodigy.

The xda trion is the best thing to get atm though. Its 1mm thinner than the mini-s but 5mm longer.

I can't remember where I read it, but I believe o2 will no longer be stocking HTC handset's as HTC wanted to increase the presence of it's own brand name and o2 wouldn't agree.
